CSAW is the annual workshop organised by the departments of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence aimed at presenting current research being carried out in the field of ICT. This year's event will be the first under the Faculty of ICT and will present an excellent opportunity for discussions and a niche for the generation of innovative ideas, with the aim of creating channels of collaboration between the departments.
Through CSAW, members of staff, students and local industry companies in the field of ICT can present and showcase ongoing research activities, and hence foster further research activities between the departments and the industry. The workshop also serves to expose undergraduates to the research areas pursued by the departments and possible projects that can be undertaken.
Topics of Interest
The Workshop will be a mixture of short and full paper presentations relevant to a number of topics including (but not restricted to):
Adaptive Hypertext Systems
Data and computer communications
Data Modeling Systems
Human Language Technologies
Mobile and Agent technologies
Multimedia networking and Security
All members of the staff and students are invited to submit papers.
full papers: between 8 to 10 pages
short papers: between 4 to 6 pages
Papers should report on original work in the above mentioned and related areas.
Submissions should be formatted according to the Springer LNCS, Latex and
Word style and will be selected for inclusion based on reviews by a program committee.
No other styles will be accepted for inclusion in the proceedings.
Paper submission and reviewing for CSAW 2007 will be electronic, via the submissions Web site
13 September 2007: Submission of title of your paper together with a brief 200 word abstract.
20 September 2007: Full/Short paper submission due.
28 September 2007: New extended date for Full/Short paper submission
27 September 2007: Acceptance notifications.
5-6 November 2007: CSAW07
