About me

I've been lecturing in the Department of Intelligent Computer Systems (formerly Department of Computer Science and AI), University of Malta, since 1993.

I graduated in Computing and Artificial Intelligence from the University of Sussex in 1991. I obtained a PhD in Computer Science, also from the University of Sussex, in 2001. My thesis is entitled "HyperContext: A Framework for Adaptive and Adaptable Hypertext".

I lecture in User-Adaptive Systems and Computer Ethics. I am also the Department's Contact Point for Collaborative Research and Development, and I'm the first point of contact for aspiring postgraduate students (see also Postgraduate Enquiries).

Outside of academia, my main interests are squash, football, reading (humour, good detective novels, and some science fiction), and watching any of the above on TV.

Research Interests

I run the User-Adaptive Systems Research and Development Group.
